Hi, I'm Joey Puettman. I am a youth advocate and a fly fishing guide. I have worked with youth for a number of years as a youth mentor and a program director at the Northern Wyoming Mental Health Center and the Sheridan School District before founding Joey’s Flyfishing Foundation.

My fly fishing adventures have taken me all over the world!   Most enjoyably I call Sheridan, Wyoming home.  These local waters in the Big Horn Mountain Range are my playground and often, my office.  I feel fortunate to have been able to create a foundation that allows me to continue my work as a mentor and educator and also allows me to be a personal tour guide to the wonderful and vast Wyoming outdoors.

Through our unique program students will not only learn a new passion for the outdoors but will discover new individual talents, abilities, awareness and self confidence.  Our mentoring program invites mentoring volunteers from area businesses and organizations introducing youth to a population they might not normally meet.  The foundation has been gifted the use of waters not available for public access, allowing learning in exclusive and private settings.  Trips to the Wyoming Fish and Game offices help educate on the state’s natural resources.

I personal invite you to be a part of “casting for a better future”!
