It takes time... about 4 days to be exact.

JFF has expanded its camp to 4 days, allowing more time with mentors and also more time on the water! We are excited to bring these hands-on workshops that introduce the kids to beginning fly tying, lanyard building, fishing, stream habitat and cleanup - all while practicing leave no trace behind.

Here students work with qualified instructors and youth advocates. Often, these students are referred for a second summer and even a third! Each class is adjusted accordingly.

Volunteers from the Sheridan area have been instrumental as they work one on one to help these students succeed and find their potential. Our mentoring program offers individuals the opportunity to give back to our community in a friendly setting.

Camps are hands-on and include: Fly tying, fly box construction, fly casting, knots, lanyard building, bug identification, stream clean-up, stream and river fishing (some with private access reserved for JFF), onsite visits to the WY Game and Fish, and guest speakers.
